2. Modal + Perfect (Past Forms)

Used for speculation, regret, or unfulfilled situations.

3. Modal + Continuous (Ongoing Actions)

4. Modal + Passive

5. Semi‑Modals / Periphrastic Modals

These are not pure modals but behave similarly.

6. Negative Interrogative Formula

Often used for surprise, annoyance, or emphasis.
