PAST PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Structure/Formula:

• Affirmative –Subject + Had + Been + V1 + Ing + Object + Since/For + Time
• Negative- Subject + Had + Not + Been + V1 + Ing + Object + Since/For + Time
• Interrogative- Had + Subject + Been + V1 + Ing + Object + Since/For + Time + ?
• Interrogative-Negative –Had + Subject + Not + Been + V1 + Ing + Object + Since/For + Time + ?

Special Rules (After/Before):

· Past Perfect Continuous shows an action that was in progress before another action in the past.

· Often used with before, after, when, by the time.

Part 1: Affirmative Sentences

1. I had been eating apples since morning before you came.

तुम्हारे आने से पहले मैं सुबह से सेब खा रहा था।
