Pronoun – Definition

A pronoun is a word that is used instead of a noun to avoid repetition and make sentences smoother.

👉 Example:

  • Riya is my friend. She is very kind.
    (“She” is a pronoun used instead of “Riya”.)

1️⃣ Personal Pronouns

Used to refer to specific persons or things.

Subject Pronouns: I, You, He, She, It, We, They

  • She is my sister.
  • They are playing cricket.

Object Pronouns: Me, You, Him, Her, It, Us, Them

  • Give the book to me.
  • I met him yesterday.

📌 Important Rule:

❌ Wrong: This is my.
✅ Correct: This is mine.

👉 Possessive pronouns are used alone (without a noun after them).

Example:

Used when subject and object are the same.
