Do, Does and Did

Do, Does और Did का उपयोग अंग्रेजी में दो तरह से होता है:

 Main Verb (मुख्य क्रिया): ‘करना’ के अर्थ में।

Helping Verb (सहायक क्रिया): 1-Negative और 2-Interrogative वाक्य बनाने के लिए।

📘 Basic Rules & Formulas

1. Present Tense (Do / Does)

Does: Singular Subjects के साथ (He, She, It, Name)।

Do: Plural Subjects और I, You के साथ (I, We, You, They)।

Formulas:

Negative: Subject + do/does + not + V1 + Object

Interrogative: Do/Does + Subject + V1 + Object?

2. Past Tense (Did)

Did: सभी Subjects के साथ (I, He, She, We, They, etc.)।

Formula:

Negative/Interrogative: Subject + did + not + V1 + Object

Note: ‘Did’ के साथ हमेशा V1 (क्रिया का पहला रूप) आता है।

He does his homework. (वह अपना होमवर्क करता है।)

She does not like tea. (उसे चाय पसंद नहीं है।)

Does he play cricket? (क्या वह क्रिकेट खेलता है?)

Ram does not go to school. (राम स्कूल नहीं जाता है।)

It does not rain here. (यहाँ बारिश नहीं होती है।)

Does she speak English? (क्या वह अंग्रेजी बोलती है?)

He does not know me. (वह मुझे नहीं जानता है।)

My mother does the cooking. (मेरी माँ खाना बनाती हैं।)

Does it work? (क्या यह काम करता है?)

She does not want any help. (वह कोई मदद नहीं चाहती है।)

Does he live in Delhi? (क्या वह दिल्ली में रहता है?)

This machine does not make noise. (यह मशीन शोर नहीं करती है।)

Does Ram have a car? (क्या राम के पास कार है?)

He does his best. (वह अपनी पूरी कोशिश करता है।)

Does she understand? (क्या वह समझती है?)

The sun does not rise in the west. (सूरज पश्चिम में नहीं उगता है।)

It does not matter. (इससे कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ता।)

Section 2: DO (Present Plural/I/You) – 35 Examples

I do my exercise daily. (मैं रोज़ाना अपना व्यायाम करता हूँ।)

They do not play football. (वे फुटबॉल नहीं खेलते हैं।)

Do you know her? (क्या आप उसे जानते हैं?)

We do not eat meat. (हम मांस नहीं खाते हैं।)

Do they live here? (क्या वे यहाँ रहते हैं?)

I do not remember his name. (मुझे उसका नाम याद नहीं है।)

💡 One English Master Tip:

सबसे बड़ी गलती जो लोग करते हैं वह है Did के साथ V2 लगाना। हमेशा याद रखें: Did + V1.

Wrong: I did not went.

Right: I did not go.
