An adverb clause is a dependent clause that functions as an adverb. It modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb by providing information about time, place, reason, condition, contrast, purpose, manner, or degree. Adverb clauses begin with subordinating conjunctions such as because, if, when, although, since, while, as, until, unless, wherever, so that, as if, as though, than, etc.
Examples:
Because it was raining, I stayed home. (Reason)
If you study hard, you will pass. (Condition)
When the bell rang, the students left. (Time)
Adverb Clause (क्रियाविशेषण उपवाक्य) एक आश्रित उपवाक्य (dependent clause) होता है जो क्रिया (verb), विशेषण (adjective) या दूसरे क्रियाविशेषण (adverb) की विशेषता बताता है। यह समय, स्थान, कारण, शर्त, विरोध, उद्देश्य, तरीका या मात्रा की जानकारी देता है। Adverb clause subordinating conjunctions (जैसे क्योंकि, अगर, जब, हालाँकि, जब से, जबकि, जब तक, चाहे, जहाँ भी, ताकि, मानो आदि) से शुरू होता है।

क्योंकि बारिश हो रही थी, मैं घर पर रुका। (कारण)
अगर तुम मेहनत करोगे, तुम पास हो जाओगे। (शर्त)

Adverb clauses can appear at the beginning, middle, or end of a sentence.
Beginning: Because it was raining, I stayed home. (Comma used)
End: I stayed home because it was raining. (No comma)
Middle: My father, when he was young, used to walk to school.
An adverb clause (क्रियाविशेषण उपवाक्य) provides information about time, place, reason, condition, contrast, purpose, manner, result, or comparison. It begins with a subordinating conjunction and cannot stand alone as a complete sentence.
