English Grammar में Degrees of Comparison adjectives (विशेषण) का वह रूप है जिससे हम किसी व्यक्ति, वस्तु या स्थान की तुलना (comparison) करते हैं। यह तीन प्रकार के होते हैं—Positive, Comparative और Superlative।
अगर आप spoken English, school exams या competitive exams (SSC, Bank, UPSC) की तैयारी कर रहे हैं, तो यह topic बेहद जरूरी है।

🔹 1. Positive Degree (सामान्य रूप)

👉 Definition:

जब किसी एक व्यक्ति/वस्तु के गुण की बात होती है, बिना तुलना के — उसे Positive Degree कहते हैं।

👉 Formula:

Subject + is/am/are + adjective (base form)

👉 Definition:

जब दो लोगों/वस्तुओं की तुलना की जाती है।

Subject + is/am/are + adjective + er + than + object
OR
more + adjective + than

🔹 3. Superlative Degree (श्रेष्ठतम रूप)

👉 Definition:

जब तीन या उससे अधिक में सबसे अधिक गुण बताया जाए।

👉 Formula:

Subject + is/am/are + the + adjective + est
OR
the most + adjective
